Shilpa Sakhlani Agnihotri Born on 19 January is a television actress and is known for her role as Ganga in the popular Balaji Telefilms soap opera Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.^[1] She hosts the children's talent show Rin Mera Star Superstar.^[2]

Initial career

Shilpa started working at the age of 17 while she was studying commerce at HR College Mumbai.

Personal life

Shilpa's home town is Dehradun in Uttaranchal. Her father served in the Indian Navy so most of her childhood she had been travelling the country.She is married to Apurva Agnihotri in a traditional Garhwali way. They dated for six months and got married. Initially People were very sarcastic and were saying that this marriage will not work(Accepted by Apurva in Nach Baliye when he broke Shilpa's tooth).
